Our experience combines the thrill of snowmobiling with time to relax and enjoy the Arctic atmosphere. Ride through the snowy landscapes of Rovaniemi, mainly on the frozen Kemijoki River, and enjoy a traditional Arctic BBQ around the campfire as part of every safari.

Do I need previous snowmobile experience?

No previous snowmobile experience is required. Before the safari begins, you'll receive instructions on how to operate the electric snowmobile and how to ride safely.

Do I get to drive the snowmobile myself?

Yes. Snowmobiles are normally shared by two guests, with one person driving and the other traveling as a passenger. If both guests meet the driving requirements, you can switch drivers during the ride so both have the opportunity to drive.

Can I take my own photographs during the experience?

Absolutely. There are opportunities to photograph both the snowy Lapland scenery and the reindeer during your experience. We recommend keeping your phone or camera protected from the cold while riding.

Do I need previous snowmobile experience?

No. Previous snowmobile experience is not required. Before the safari, your guide will explain how to operate the snowmobile and go through the essential safety instructions.

What should I wear for the safari?

We provide winter overalls, a helmet and the necessary snowmobiling equipment.

We recommend wearing warm thermal base layers, a fleece or warm sweater, winter socks and suitable winter footwear. A warm hat, gloves and a neck warmer are also recommended, especially during the coldest winter days.

Can children join the snowmobile safari?

Yes. This experience is designed for families too. Younger children can travel comfortably in our warm Shuttle Passenger sleigh, pulled by the guide’s snowmobile, where they are protected from the wind and cold.

Is transportation from Rovaniemi included?

Yes. Pickup and drop-off from your accommodation in Rovaniemi are included, so you don't need to arrange transportation to starting point yourself.

Is an Arctic BBQ included?

Yes. Every safari includes time around the campfire and a tasty Arctic BBQ with warm drinks. Depending on the group arrangement, you may enjoy the BBQ either before or after your snowmobile ride.
