Do I need previous snowmobile experience?

No. No previous snowmobile experience is required. Before the safari, your guide will give you a safety briefing and instructions on how to operate the snowmobile.

How long is the Extended Adventure?

The entire experience can last up to 8 hours. After the snowmobile safari and BBQ, our experienced Northern Lights guide uses real-time weather information and information from our Aurora teams to decide where to continue the hunt.

How long do we ride the snowmobiles?

The snowmobile ride lasts approximately 90 minutes. Two guests share one snowmobile and can switch drivers during the ride.

Is winter clothing included?

Yes. Winter clothing is included in both options, helping you stay warm and comfortable during the Arctic night.

What happens if we don't see the Northern Lights while snowmobiling?

This depends on the option you choose. With the 90-Min Snowmobile Ride, the experience ends after the snowmobile safari and Arctic BBQ. With our Extended Adventure, if the Aurora is not seen during the snowmobile part, we continue the Northern Lights Hunt by car.

Can children join the snowmobile safari?

Yes. Children can join the experience and travel in our protected Shuttle Passenger Sleigh pulled by the guide's snowmobile. This keeps younger guests sheltered from the wind during the ride.

What is included in the Arctic BBQ?

During the safari, we'll stop by the fire for a tasty Arctic BBQ and warm drinks. It's a chance to warm up, relax and enjoy the Arctic surroundings before continuing the adventure.

Where does the tour start?

Hotel pickup and drop-off in Rovaniemi are included. Your exact pickup time and meeting details will be provided before the tour.

Are the Northern Lights guaranteed?

No. The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed. We plan the Extended Aurora Hunt according to real-time weather, cloud cover and Aurora conditions to give you the best possible chance of seeing them.

Can children drive a snowmobile?

No. A valid driving licence is required to drive a snowmobile. Children travel in the passenger sleigh.

Can I join the tour in my own language?
