I was born in Posio and have spent most of my life in Finnish Lapland. Growing up surrounded by forests, lakes, rivers, and national parks created a lifelong connection to Arctic nature and the outdoor traditions that remain an important part of everyday life in the North.

For more than 13 years, I've worked in Lapland's tourism industry, helping visitors discover the landscapes, culture, and unique way of life that make this region so special.

During my career, I worked my way up to become the Chief Operating Officer of one of Lapland's largest safari companies, managing operations, guides, and guest experiences on a large scale. Those years taught me what it takes to create memorable experiences—but they also helped me realise what mattered most to me.

My favourite moments were never behind a desk.

They were the moments spent outdoors with guests—sharing stories around a campfire, helping someone catch their first fish, watching their first Northern Lights, or introducing visitors to places that had been part of my own life since childhood.

That's why I founded Arctic Safari Guides.

My vision was simple: to create the kind of experiences I would want for my own family and friends visiting Lapland—personal, authentic, and never rushed.

Today, Arctic Safari Guides is built on the same philosophy. Every experience is carefully designed around small groups whenever possible, genuine local hospitality, respect for nature, and knowledgeable local guides who share a passion for Finnish Lapland.

Our goal isn't simply to show you famous places. It's to help you understand the stories, traditions, and nature that make them special.

Alongside tourism, I'm also the founder of Evigo Oy, a media production company specialising in photography, video production, and storytelling. That creative background influences many of our experiences, where atmosphere, beautiful light, and meaningful moments are just as important as the destinations themselves.

Photography remains an important part of what we do. Whenever possible, our guides are happy to capture memorable moments during your adventure, allowing you to focus on enjoying the experience.

Outside work, family is at the centre of my life. I live in Rovaniemi with my better half Saana, our children, and our two cats. Whether we're hiking, fishing, sitting around a campfire, or simply enjoying time outdoors, many of the things I love most about Lapland are the same experiences we hope to share with our guests.
