Real Aurora Hunting — Not Just Waiting Under Cloudy Skies
This is a genuine Northern Lights hunt, not a standard sightseeing tour. We continuously monitor weather forecasts, cloud coverage and Aurora activity, then travel wherever conditions are most promising. Some nights that means staying near Rovaniemi. Other nights it means driving hundreds of kilometres — even into Sweden or Norway — to find clear skies and maximise your chances of success.
Small Groups, Premium Comfort
& Maximum Flexibility
With a maximum of only 8 guests per vehicle, every hunt remains comfortable, flexible and personal. Smaller groups allow us to react quickly to changing conditions, avoid crowded viewing spots and focus entirely on finding the best possible Aurora experience. No large buses, no fixed routes and no rushing from stop to stop.
100% Aurora Guarantee & Local Expertise
Our guides combine years of local experience, Aurora photography and practical knowledge of Lapland’s weather conditions. Every decision throughout the night is made with one goal in mind: giving you the best possible chance to witness and photograph the Northern Lights.
If the Aurora is not visible and cannot be captured during your experience, you can join another available hunt free of charge. If your travel schedule does not allow rebooking, you will receive a full refund according to the guarantee terms.

We Handle Everything — You Simply Enjoy the Hunt
From the moment we pick you up in Rovaniemi, everything is taken care of. We monitor the weather, track cloud movements, plan the route and make decisions throughout the night based on changing conditions. While we focus on finding the best possible skies, you can simply relax, enjoy the Arctic scenery and focus on the experience itself.

*****
”I think this is the only place that offers an aurora tour that is never canceled. If you only have a few days to stay and absolutely want to see the northern lights, even if the weather is bad, I highly recommend this tour! Even though it's expensive, it's totally worth it! Our guide was an expert in aurora hunting and took us on a four-hour one-way trip to Sweden, where we successfully saw the aurora. It will be a memory I will cherish for the rest of my life!”

*****
”An excellent experience. Timo drove for hours until we found a spot with no clouds or fog, where we were able to enjoy a spectacular aurora borealis. His tenacity, experience, and kindness were essential for witnessing such a magnificent sight. Furthermore, during our travels, we had very interesting conversations about the aurora borealis, the wildlife, and daily life in Finland. I highly recommend this experience with Timo.”

”I had the absolute pleasure of doing this tour with Timo! He is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and he explains everything about the area while also making great conversation along the way. The Korouoma waterfalls were amazing. The snowy landscape and views were definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Finland. A BBQ is included in the trip, which was also delicious.”

Frequently asked questions
Can you really guarantee the Northern Lights?
No one can guarantee the Northern Lights themselves, as they are a natural phenomenon. However, we guarantee that if we are not able to capture a photo of you with the Aurora during the tour, you can join another hunt for free or receive a full refund.
Where do we go during the hunt?
The route is not fixed. We choose the direction based on real-time weather forecasts, cloud conditions and Aurora activity. We may travel within the Rovaniemi area or further if needed to find clear skies.
What happens if we don’t see the Northern Lights?
If the Aurora doesn’t appear in your photos, you’ll have the option to rebook another available tour at no extra cost. If that doesn’t fit your schedule, you will receive a full refund.
Do I need a camera or photography skills?
No. We take professional photos during the tour, and you will receive your images afterwards. You can simply enjoy the experience without worrying about camera settings if you don't like.
Will the tour be cancelled due to weather?
Unlike many standard Northern Lights tours that visit fixed locations or may be cancelled due to challenging forecasts, this experience is built around flexibility. We actively search for clear skies and adapt our route throughout the evening to maximize your chances of seeing the Aurora.
The tour operates even when forecasts look difficult, and we may travel long distances — including into Sweden or Norway when necessary — to find better conditions.
Please note that the tour is never cancelled simply because cloud cover is expected or Aurora forecasts appear weak.
Is this suitable for beginners?
Yes. No prior experience is needed. This tour is designed to be easy and accessible — you just need to join and enjoy the experience.
How long is the tour?
This is not a fixed-length sightseeing tour.
The experience typically lasts 6–10 hours, depending on weather conditions, cloud coverage and the distance required to find clear skies.
Some nights the Northern Lights appear quickly near Rovaniemi. On other nights, we may travel much farther — sometimes even into Sweden or Norway — to maximize your chances of seeing the Aurora.
We believe flexibility is one of the key reasons this experience has such a high success rate. Rather than ending the tour at a predetermined time, we focus on giving you the best possible opportunity to experience the Northern Lights.
Where does the tour start?
We will pick you up directly from your accommodation in Rovaniemi, and drop you off after the tour.
